Giants to Add RB Kregg Lumpkin
According to several sources, the Giants plan to fill Andre Brown’s roster spot with veteran RB Kregg Lumpkin.
From Ebenezer Samuel of the Daily News:
It’s unknown how the Giants will use Lumpkin, but the 5-11, 228-pounder, who spent last season with the Tampa Bay Bucs and began this season in Seattle, instantly becomes the biggest tailback on the roster, so he may get some goal line touches, and he caught 41 passes last season, proving to be a solid receiver…..Perhaps more importantly, Lumpkin can fill Brown’s role on the Giants’ special teams coverage units; he played specials with the Bucs last season and made seven tackles.
The team needed a bigger back than Ahmad Bradshaw and David Wilson, who are both 5’10″ and under 215 lbs (Wilson is 205). This signing should not impact the plan to get the rookie Wilson more touches.

CBS Sports Jason LaCanfora still believes the Giants are not done…
