Report: John Mara’s nephew arrested in Conn.
John Mara, nephew of New York Giants owner John Mara, has been charged with felony assault in Connecticut after allegedly hitting a person over the head with a bottle during a New Year’s Eve party, according to a report by the Associated Press.
The 22-year-old Mara turned himself into the Fairfield Police on Friday and posted $150,000 bail. He’s expected to be arraigned in Bridgeport Superior Court on March 8 on charges of first-degree assault and breach of peace.
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries that required immediate surgery, according to police.
Very rarely does John Mara’s (the owner) name come in conversation for any negative publicity.
