Potential Giants draftee, Manti Te’o, considered ‘undersized’
Though it appears as if the New York Giants’ interest in Manti Te’o has waned since the catfish story surfaced, the potential draftee now has yet another strike thrown in his direction, this time an on-field issue.
The former Notre Dame linebacker is being labeled as “undersized” to play inside linebacker in the NFL, according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.
Te’o, at 6-foot-1 and 240 pounds, is a better fit as a 3-4 inside backer, Mort says, or as an outside backer behind a four-man front.
It appears as if Te’o's will now have to explain more than just a fake girlfriend during his combine interviews.
If his performance against Alabama is any sign of what his NFL future may be like, then it may be a long wait on draft day.
