Eagles sign S Kenny Phillips
The Eagles have signed safety Kenny Phillips to a one-year deal, the team announced.
Phillips, who played all five years with the Giants after being drafted in the first round in ’08, was not expected to be brought back to New York.
In his career, Phillips notched eight interceptions while making over 200 total tackles.

No shocker. The Giants stood by Phillips for years hoping his knee would rebound. It did, but not all the way. Phillips had great promise as a rookie, but the physical issues took their toll and prevented him from being the perennial All-Pro the Giants had hoped.
The fact that he has been signed by the Eagles is not that worrisome. They also swung and missed on another Giant FA that had a history of knee problems (WR Steve Smith). We wish him well…..
Philly is trying to remold their secondary, signing Patrick Chung yesterday and Phillips and Cary Williams this afternoon.
