Giants LB coach Jim Herrmann was reported to be a top candidate for the Eagles’ DC position and interviewed with them this past weekend. Apparently, he’s had a change of heart, as per Tom Rock of Newsday, and is staying in Blue.

Jim Herrmann has informed the Eagles that he is withdrawing from their DC search after weekend interview. He’ll stay with the NYG.

Philly hired former Browns head coach Pat Shurmur to be their OC. The top remaining candidates for DC are Alabama DC Kirby Smart and Todd Grantham, the DC at Georgia.
