Falcons’ WR Roddy White to be a Game Time Decision

The war of words between the Giants and Falcons regarding who has the better receiving corps has quelled the past few days. With the Giants’ Hakeem Nicks and Atlanta’s Roddy White hobbling around, both teams will be at less than 100%

Nicks (knee) practiced lightly on Thursday and is expected to do the same today. White (knee) has not practiced at all this week and is reported to be a game time decision. White has 77 receptions for 1,140 yards and 5 TDs this season.

From D.Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Falcons wide receiver Roddy White sat out practice again today and coach Mike Smith said he probably won’t test his injured knee until just before Sunday’s game against the Giants.

“Roddy felt much better today than he did yesterday,” Smith said. “We are going to be very cautious with Roddy in terms of getting ready for the ball game. He probably will not do a whole lot on Friday or Saturday and then we will get him out there on Sunday and see where he’s at. But it’s hard to keep Roddy White out of a football game.”
