Bradshaw Beginning to Garner Interest

Former Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw is apparently getting his first bites at the free agent apple…

From Rotoworld: They’re the first teams Bradshaw has been linked to since being released by the Giants last month. Bradshaw (foot surgeries) was cleared to begin visiting teams two weeks ago. Both Green Bay and Pittsburgh could use a jolt of talent in the running game, and Bradshaw — despite his injury history — is easily the top remaining free-agent back. He could soon start lining up visits.

It makes sense that two of the savviest franchises are after Bradshaw. They know quality and right now, with the market beginning to sort itself out, Bradshaw can be signed for less with each passing day. On the right team, he can continue his career as one of the league’s most clutch gamers…

From Dan Hanzus of NFL.com:

The interest makes sense for both teams. The Packers are still in the market for a back after losing out to the Atlanta Falcons on Steven Jackson. The Steelers have a void in their backfield after allowing Rashard Mendenhall to leave for the Arizona Cardinals. Pittsburgh hosted Beanie Wells on Friday, but a team source told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that Wells has “a bad wheel.”….If he can get back to full health following another foot surgery, Bradshaw has the potential to be a free-agent steal.
