SNYGiants Week 14 NFL Picks
Jim Mancari , Contributor
Ugly week for me last weekend, so I’m hoping for a bounce-back performance.
Here are this week’s picks. I’ll be using the point spreads from Yahoo! Sports. Feel free to include your picks for these or any other of the week’s games in the comments section. Good luck!
Week 13 Record: 0-4
Overall: 14-13
Atlanta Falcons (-3.5) at Carolina Panthers
Even on the road, the Falcons should have no problem beating Cam Newton and the Panthers by at least a touchdown.
Pick: Falcons
Miami Dolphins (+10) at San Francisco 49ers
If the 49ers lost in overtime to the Rams, they may also struggle with the Dolphins. Colin Kaepernick will again start, but after last week’s performance, his confidence may be lacking. San Francisco may still win the game, but there’s a good chance it will be closer than a 10-point game.
Pick: Dolphins
Baltimore Ravens (-2.5) at Washington Redskins
The Ravens’ defense is a different animal without Ray Lewis and with Terrell Suggs at less than 100 percent. We saw firsthand how Robert Griffin III can confuse a defense, and even a defense as good as Baltimore’s may have trouble the rookie phenom. With the Redskins knocking on the door of the lead in the NFC East, this is a must win.
Pick: Redskins
New Orleans Saints (-4.5) at New York Giants
Eli Manning has never beaten Drew Brees in their careers. Both teams have good offenses but have struggled defensively. If the Giants can pull out a much-needed victory, it may only be by a field goal.
Pick: Saints
