The Giants’ 27-23 win over the Redskins came in true Eli Manning fashion — a fourth-quarter comeback.

There’s something about Manning and the fourth quarter. With Tom Brady’s performance yesterday, it’s hard to argue against Manning as being the most clutch quarterback in the league right now.

Sorry, Peyton.

The Giants’ win set a number of milestones for him and the team. Check it out:

• Manning’s 77-yard touchdown pass to Victor Cruz with 73 ticks remaining was the longest game-winning touchdown in the final 2 minutes of a fourth quarter in team history.
• This was the 21st regular-season contest in which Manning had to rally the Giants in the fourth quarter, the second time this year. You’ll remember the Tampa Bay game, when the G-Men trailed by 11 in the final quarter.
• The Giants allowed the Skins to tally 480 yards, the highest by an opponent since New Orleans in Nov. 2011. The Skins’ 248 yards on the ground were the most since Dallas ran for 251 in Sept. 2009.
• Hakeem Nicks’ 5 receptions for 53 yards moved him into 18th on the franchise’s career reception list, ahead of former wideout Steve Smith.
• Martellus Bennett had his best statistical day as a Giant, hauling in 5 passes for 79 yards.
• The Giants’ 3 sacks of Robert Griffin III gave them 17 on the year. It was Justin Tuck‘s first of the season, the third for Osi Umenyiora and a team-high 4.5 by Jason Pierre-Paul. JPP now has 6 career sacks in 5 games v. Washington.
• Stevie Brown‘s interception of RGIII was his third on the year, and is now tied with Michael Boley for the team lead. By the way, Brown is filling in for the injured Kenny Phillips.
