Giants rookie David Wilson was anything but shy when it came to his interview with Newsday’s Bob Glauber.

Wilson, who has become a force on special teams of late and has earned more carries behind Ahmad Bradshaw, was candid in telling Glauber just how he envisions his future in the NFL.

“I think at the end of my career, I’ll be in the Hall of Fame,” the rookie told Newsday. “I know myself, and I know [when] I have guys around me that feel the same way, which I feel I do. When I get my opportunity, the sky is not the limit. I think it’s past it. You have to believe in yourself to do good things. This is how I feel.”

Well, his confident certainly isn’t lacking, and being under-confident is never a good sign for a young player breaking into the league.

When Glauber offered a reality check, bringing his fumbling issues and little impact in the running game, Wilson said to believe in him.

Like birth control.

“I’m like birth control,” Wilson said. “You have to believe in me. Like birth control, 99.9 percent of the time I’m going to come through for you.”

Unconventional. Sure. Eyebrow-raising. Definitely.
