Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) returns to practice

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) returned to Giants practice Thursday, therefore proving that perhaps that “lingering issue” may not be as serious as it was thought to be yesterday.

Bradshaw is on track to get the start Sunday against the Redskins, who are ranked 8th in the NFL in defending the run.

Andre Brown (concussion) also practiced, though with him out over the past few weeks it appears rookie David Wilson has Wally Pipped him on the depth chart.

For a second straight day, Hakeem Nicks (foot, knee) practiced.

Not such good news for defensive tackle Rocky Bernard, Kenny Phillips or linebacker Jacquian Williams.

4:00 pm  – RB Ahmad Bradshaw said his foot was fine and he should be a a go for Sunday

“I feel good. There’s no setback and I’m ready to go.”  He was asked if was the same stress fracture that has haunted him in prior seasons….“No. I think I just got stepped on in the game and just hurt the bone a little bit, but I’m cool.”

Bradshaw was asked if he was surprised that he has been able to play through all the injuries.

It’s toughness. It’s just toughness,” he revealed. “I feel like I can fight through a little bit of everything now with the stuff I’ve been through. I just feel like it’s going to take a lot to bring me down. So a lot of hits here and there, it ain’t going to do it.”

Where does the toughness come from?

“Just from the heart, the love of the game. Just growing up that way.”
